4. Hoover Price Planetarium
The Hoover Price Planetarium in Canton provides an immersive view of outer space without ever leaving Earth’s atmosphere. From its 65-seat theater, you can observe stars, auroras, meteor showers, panoramas of downtown Canton and dozens of constellations up close.
Since 1964, the planetarium has been a popular attraction. Its primary star projector, the Spitz A3P, accurately reproduces thousands of stars with accurate color and brightness. In 2019, its original lamp was replaced by an LED light source to recreate an amazing recreation of the night sky and Milky Way galaxy.

5. MAPS Air Museum
The MAPS Air Museum, situated off SR241 on the west side of Akron-Canton Regional Airport, is operated by the Military Aviation Preservation Society and houses more than 50 aircraft borrowed from US Air Force and Navy for restoration.
On the property are several museum display rooms, a library and an aviation gift shop. On the second floor is the Gallery of Heroes which showcases detailed models and period items from wars – including a relic from Pearl Harbor.
The museum features a display room dedicated to the Tuskegee Airmen and Rosie the Riveter. Furthermore, an array of Ohio military medals and memorabilia from the former Massillon Military Museum has been relocated here.
